Kids in Action is dedicated to building happy, healthy, confident kids, through its year-round movement education programs.  The programs focus on developing motor skills, learning body awareness, songs with movement, basic tumbling, and gymnastics, hand-eye coordination, tracking, balance, sensory development, shape and color recognition, all enhancing the child’s academic and social development.

Summer 2020 class offerings

Parent-child classes

Movin’ and Groovin’ class offerings:

Walking to 4 years (w/ parent) Thursday 10:00 – 11:00 Friday 10:00 – 11:00

Thirty minutes of KIA and thirty minutes of Kindermusik.  Get your child MOVIN’!  Your child will learn to swing, hang, balance, crawl, slide, and take turns.  They will also be introduced to ball activities, parachute play, fine motor play, gymnastics, and games to encourage critical thinking and opportunities to explore their environment through creative play.  Kindermusik engages your child in music and movement activities, that also promote language, social and emotional skills, early math and early literacy, physical coordination, creativity, and more.  Plus, your child will learn basic music vocabulary and notation.

Rockin’ Rollers

2 – 3 years (w/ parent) Wednesday 11:00 – 11:45

Each class begins with an obstacle course, where climbing, swinging, hanging, balancing, crawling, sliding, and taking turns is experienced. We incorporate circle time, using various finger plays, songs, and instruments.  From there, we will introduce various ball activities, parachute play, climbing, rolling, balancing and jumping, fine motor play, and games to encourage critical thinking.  Each lesson is a theme-based.  A more advanced level than Tiny Tumblers.

Independent Classes

6 – 10 years (w/o parent)

June 15 – June 19, 3:00 – 4:00

This one-week introduction class blends proper kickboxing techniques along with muscle-toning and endurance drills to help boost confidence and self-defense.

Little Diva’s Camp

3 – 5 years (w/o parent)

June 22 – June 26, 3:00 – 4:00

The one-week camp will consist of spending time participating in games, dancing, dress up, hair styling, manicures, and playing on our infamous obstacle course.  On Friday, parents and caregivers are welcome to enjoy and photograph the dance routine performed by their little Divas!
